This was our first time staying in this part of Sosua and we were pleasantly surprised by the neighbourhood. Quiet streets, beautiful gardens in the surrounding properties, and a genuine community feel rather than a purely tourist atmosphere. The villa is very well-maintained and comfortable. The pool is private and gets good sun. We did three excursions and spent the rest of the time between pool and local restaurants. A very easy, very pleasant week.
Sometimes a host is just a name on a booking confirmation. Alex is not that. He met us briefly on arrival, gave us a 10-minute orientation that told us everything we'd actually need to know (including which of the local beach bars stays open late on Thursdays, which is important information), and was responsive to our one question during the week within minutes. The villa itself is clean, comfortable, and well-presented. But it's Alex's manner that stays with you.
