We came for spring break with our two children and the villa was exactly right for a family. Private pool, secure garden, comfortable rooms, and a layout that lets parents have their own space while children do their thing. Sosua beach is close enough for a day trip and Casa Linda's community pool is an added bonus. The children spent so much time in the water we genuinely wondered if they were part fish by the end of the week.
We've been coming to Sosua for several years and this villa has become our preferred base. The combination of privacy, a good private pool, comfortable bedrooms, and easy access to the beach and town is hard to beat at this price point. The property is consistently well-maintained and the booking process straightforward every time. Already looking at dates for our next visit.
The villa is a great base ? comfortable, well-maintained, lovely pool. But the two things that made our December trip memorable were Jonathan and Rocio. Jonathan drove us one day up to a viewpoint I've still not found on any map ? extraordinary view across the coast. And Rocio cooked for us on two evenings: one night a full traditional Dominican spread, the second night a seafood feast with the freshest lobster I've ever eaten. Both experiences were completely authentic and impossible to replicate. We feel very lucky to have had both.
We had a good week here. The villa is comfortable and well-maintained, the pool is clean and a good size. My one note for future guests: in the middle of the afternoon the pool terrace is fully exposed to the sun with very little shade available, which meant during the hottest hours of the day (roughly 1?4pm) we retreated inside. Not a deal-breaker at all ? we adjusted our schedule ? but something worth knowing if you have young children or fair skin. Everything else was excellent.
I've stayed in maybe a dozen private villa rentals across the Caribbean and this experience ranks among the best, not because the property is the most extravagant but because of how Alex manages it. The welcome note had specific local tips I'd mentioned in a pre-arrival message three weeks earlier ? tips he'd actually remembered and acted on. The villa was immaculate, everything worked, and there was never a moment where you felt like a booking reference rather than a guest.
