We came in late December wanting warmth, quiet, and a pool. The villa delivered all three without any drama. The property is well-maintained and comfortable, the pool area is lovely, and the surrounding area has a peaceful post-Christmas quality that suits the end of year perfectly. Sosua in December is genuinely charming ? the town has festive decorations, the locals are warm, and there's a slower pace that feels very welcome after a busy year. A thoroughly restorative end to 2025.
I don't usually single out individuals in reviews but in this case I'd be doing a disservice not to. Alex runs the property with real care and has a hospitality instinct that's genuinely rare. Jonathan drove us for three days and combined excellent driving with the kind of local knowledge that turns a good trip into an extraordinary one. Rocio cooked for us on two evenings and both times produced food that had our group silent for the first few minutes, which is the surest compliment. The villa itself is beautiful and well-maintained. But those three people are why this trip was the best holiday we've had in years.
We came here in April for a week with no particular agenda and the villa was just right for that. Well-maintained, comfortable, lovely private pool, and positioned nicely within Sosua. We walked to town for evenings out and spent most days at the property or the beach. Everything worked as it should, the property was accurately described, and the process from booking to checkout was completely smooth. Simple, excellent holiday.
